Information and Disinformation

There’s a bit of information here. I recommend visiting the links for more detail.CNN media, the left and Biden are trying to make something out of Trumps conversation with Bob Woodward on March 19th. Let’s take a look:Trump started the process of suspending flights/travel and removing personnel from China, the United States single largest trade partner, starting on January 23rd. 2020.https://travel.state.gov/…/china-travel-advisory.htmlPrior to that the CDC starting the process of screening passengers on January 17;https://www.cdc.gov/…/p0117-coronavirus-screening.htmlThe first documented human cases of covid have been traced to Wuhan, China in December of 2019. No one knew at that time how the virus was transmitted and China was not forthcoming with information at the time. The World Health Organization declared the covid outbreak on Jan 30th, 2020. Seven days AFTER Trump started the travel restriction on January 23rd and also thirteen days AFTER the CDC began screening passengers.https://www.cdc.gov/…/p0117-coronavirus-screening.htmlhttps://www.who.int/…/who-director-general-s-statement…CNN Headline – Trump says he knew Covid-19 was deadly even though he downplayed it form his interview with Bob Woodward on March 19th.56 days PRIOR to the interview with Bob Woodward Trump put the travel restrictions into place.Dr. Fauci has said he did not ‘get any sense that Trump was distorting anything’ about coronavirus. That’s because he wasn’t. Trump started putting protections in place before the World Health Organization declared covid in their 1/30 release. How is shutting down travel to our single largest trading partner to be viewed as anything other than a declaration to the world of the seriousness of this new unknown pathogen and of how the US viewed the threat? We probably should listen to Dr. Fauci. He has been the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984. Since 1984. He was appointed during the Reagan administration and has serviced as the director of NIAID since. 20 years under Republican presidents and 16 years under Democratic presidents. Presidents Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump. The CDC, NIAID, WHO and scientist from China and elsewhere were trying to determine what the new pathogen was, how it was transmitted, how virulent it was, how long it took before a person experienced symptoms etc… Covid went from 41 documented cases in December 2019 to 27,486,960 million worldwide cases as of today 9/9/2020. This is with limited testing throughout most of the world. The number is likely to be much higher.https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#caseshttps://covid19.who.int/Just think about the timeline. If someone became symptomatic with covid-19 in the middle of December of 2019 and transmitted the virus toward the end of December the world really only 14 to 20 days to identify there was a problem and act. That is a really short period of time. The CDC started screening on the 17th of January. Trump started pulling personnel out of China on Jan 23rd and then issued the travel advisoryHere is how Dr. Fauci is currently describing the Trump administrations reaction and efforts concerning covid.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyqSnWnNuEEHere is the latest timeline of covid as published directly from WHO.https://www.who.int/news…/detail/29-06-2020-covidtimelineBy any analysis, Trump acted as quickly as the information available allowed. Actually Trump acted decisively, in the correct direction, before he even had a clear picture of the problem.Had China been more forthcoming at the very start things might have been different. And as is his pattern, Biden was on the wrong side of this from the start as well. When Trump first put travel restrictions in place, this was Biden’s reaction;”On 1/31 Biden tweeted this;Joe Biden@JoeBiden Jan 31Donald Trump’s Muslim ban is a direct betrayal of America’s most fundamental freedom: religious freedom. And now he’s adding more countries to his list of who’s not welcome in America. It’s not who we are — and we’ll prove that when we beat Trump this November and end the ban.On 2/1 Biden tweeted this;On February 1, Biden tweeted in response to the ban;Joe Biden@JoeBiden Feb 1We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus. We need to lead the way with science — not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering. He is the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health emergency.”Besides being wrong on President Trump putting travel restrictions in place, Biden’s other major fault here is that he tried to use covid as a political tool to change public opinion against President Trump at the very onset of the United States response to covid. This was perhaps the single worst decision Biden has ever made. He did it for political motivations. It was not based on science.
